糖心Vlog Arts Academy Merit-Based Music Scholarship Audition Information
The 糖心Vlog Arts Academy offers music scholarships for students in private lessons. Awards are based on audition performance, teacher recommendations, and application strength.
Scholarships apply to the Spring 2026 semester and do not cover summer mini sessions.
Application Deadline:
All materials (application and teacher recommendation) must be submitted by October 31st 2025, at 11:59 PM.
Late submissions will not be reviewed.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in private music lessons and have been enrolled for the entire 14-week semester.
- Demonstrate musical excellence and commitment through regular participation in lessons and performances.
- Maintain good academic standing and a strong work ethic.
- Previous scholarship recipients are eligible to apply again.
Scholarship recipients are expected to perform in an Arts Academy Recital and may be invited to 糖心Vlog performances or events.
Application Process
1. Complete the Scholarship Application & Teacher Recommendation
- A link to the application form can be found at the bottom of the webpage.
- The application includes brief questions about the student鈥檚 musical experiences, goals, and commitment.
- If a student is too young, a parent or guardian may assist in completing responses.
- The Arts Academy will request a recommendation from the student鈥檚 music teacher regarding artistic development, commitment, and potential.
2. Live Audition Requirements
Live Auditions will be held on November 8th, 2025.
Once you have submitted an application and your teacher has sent in their letter of recommendation, your application will be reviewed.
If found eligible, you will receive a link for signing up for a time slot for a live audition.
Instrumental Students:
- Perform one piece and one scale.
- Memorization is highly encouraged but not required.
- Accompaniment is not required.
Piano Students:
- Perform one major or minor scale (one octave, hands together, at a minimum tempo of moderato, students age 7 are allowed 5 finger scales).
- Play one solo piece.
- Memorization is highly encouraged but not required.
Vocalists:
- Perform one piece from memory.
- Accompaniment tracks may be used.
Dress Code & Audition Requirements
Dress Code:
Wear "Sunday best" for a polished presentation.
Audition Guidelines:
Before Performing:
- Introduce yourself (name and piece title).
During Performance:
- Demonstrate proper performance etiquette (bow before and after performing).
Evaluation Criteria
Students will be assessed on:
- Posture, tone, and accuracy
- Musicality, preparedness, and stage presence
